TakeoffTuesdays Colombia Music Journey
TakeoffTuesdays: I moved from Colombia to Florida when I was 10 years old without knowing any English. It was a difficult transition; I actually struggled with the language initially, and my mother used to help me with my English homework over the phone. My parents divorced when I was five, and I lived with my grandparents until I moved to the States. Despite the challenges, I successfully transitioned out of the ESOL program in just two years. I discovered a love for writing poetry in 6th grade English class, which became a foundational passion. Colombia remains in my heart; it taught me that I have the potential to become whoever I want to be.
2. Your brand "TakeoffTuesdays" started as a mindset of weekly adventures—breaking routines, traveling, and embracing life. How did that evolve into a full musical journey?
TakeoffTuesdays: I created the name on October 4, 2017, after a one-day trip to New York. When I rekindled my childhood love for music, I knew I had to use that name. To me, "TakeoffTuesdays" represents being myself and living life to the absolute fullest.
3. You've released a lot of music tuned to 432 Hz and 963 Hz. What draws you to these frequencies, and how do they tie into your spiritual and conscious rap style?
TakeoffTuesdays: I have always been fascinated by science and frequencies. I realized much of the world is tuned to the 440 Hz frequency, and I want to offer an alternative that heals through music and lyrics. As it says in the Bible, words have power, and I intend to use that power for the glory of God.
4.One standout track is “En Tres Días.” It's very personal. Can you share the story behind it and its connection to Colombia?
TakeoffTuesdays: “En Tres Días” tells the story of falling in love with my ex-wife in just three days. We are both from Colombia, and the song covers our decision to marry and move in together. It also touches on the period where things fell apart following my diagnosis with schizophrenia. I chose to view that diagnosis not as a limitation, but as an awakening to my higher self.
5. You've been active in Colombia lately—vlogs, music videos, and tracks like “TODOS EN COLOMBIA.” What has this recent time there meant for your journey?
The recent time there has meant for me like a new beginning that’s why the album I’m working with E Smitty is called thst because it’s me starting over after my divorce and the empire I’m building and the legacy I’m making for my future generations. It also made me feel loved and appreciated by my family in Colombia and the trips and people i met all lead up to here, where i am now
6. . You collaborate with producers like THEREALESMITTY, and blend crypto (big on XRP) into your message. How do these worlds intersect for you?
Well it intersects in a perfect way because E Smitty is also a big fan of xrp and crypto and i fell in love with crypto in 2020 when I got into it and discovered xrp and the potential it has to change our lives through this new financial system that’s being built. It’s great to be with like minded people who see the same vision I have or even a higher vision. It’s motivating and uplifting for sure
7. What's next for TakeoffTuesdays? Any upcoming projects or messages for fans?
Next comes the New beginnings album I’m working with E Smitty and Miss Dj. I’m also working on a house album and my message to the fans is to never give up. Believe in yourself and your craft.
